Lumel EPM allows you to export the table/matrix as either PDF or Excel. The industry-leading export capability delivers the following:
Export with formatting, category or value structure and notes
Export table/matrix along with scaled number formatting
Export calculated rows, columns, and edited cells
End-users in the Reading view can customize export options
Export to Excel with Expand/Collapse capability
Export to multiple Excel worksheets based on category
Pagination & page-break support for Export to PDF
You can find the export option in the Home tab > Others > Export. There are two sections: 'Export to PDF' and 'Export to Excel'. Let's look at them one by one.

The Export tab opens as shown in the image below.

In the Export window, you have options to configure the Export format, properties, and settings.
1.1 Select Format
Select format lets you choose the export format, which could be Excel or PDF.
1.2 Properties
The properties option lets you choose the state in which the report has to be exported. It has 3 options. They are
Fully Expanded - You can export the visual with all rows fully expanded by choosing the Fully Expanded option.

2. With Expand/Collapse - Select this option to export as Excel with expandable and collapsible row hierarchy.
Export to Excel retains the expand/collapse state only for row hierarchy and not for column hierarchy.

3. Current State - To export the current expand/collapse state without an option to expand/collapse in the Excel file, you can select the 'Current state' option.
Export to Excel does not support images. Only basic icons that are available in Excel, rating, and data bars are supported.
4. Entire matrix - You can export all the rows and columns by clicking Entire Matrix.
5. Selected columns - If you need to export only selected columns of your report, click Selected Columns, as highlighted in the image below.

1.3 Export To
The Export To option lets you choose the destination for your exported report. You can export the report to
My Computer - When you click on Export, the Excel file is downloaded to your Downloads.
Send to Email - Give the email address and the content of the email for the report to be mailed.
Email Address - You can also mention external email addresses (emails of people who are not a part of the organization) in the Email Address
Subject - In this field, you can enter the subject of the email. By default, it will have the names of all the fields added to the report. You can edit it if needed.
Body - In this field, you can enter the email body.

2. Advanced Settings
The advanced settings vary depending on the type of Export. During an Excel Export, the following advanced settings are seen.

We have two major tabs. They are Header Settings and General Settings.
2.1 Header Settings
Lumel EPM provides support for exporting header elements such as dates and symbols. From the header settings UI, you can quickly select the lines of the header that you want exported to an Excel file. The Preview section shows how the selected header lines will look in the Excel export.
Under Header Settings, we have toggles that can be enabled or disabled to show Header and Footer images.

In the image below, the Header Content toggles are enabled.

2.2 General Settings
In General Settings, we have options such as Smart Fit, Freeze header, Freeze Label Columns, and Add appendix at the last sheet.
Smart Fit - Fits the Content to the page smartly in the Excel sheet
Freeze Header - The Header is frozen at the Top of the page in the exported Excel
Freeze Label Columns - The Column Labels are frozen at the top of the Excel sheet, even when you scroll down.
Add appendix at last sheet - Select this checkbox to include a formula appendix tab at the end of the exported Excel report, enabling users to easily refer to the underlying formulas used.

The image below shows the all the General Settings enabled.

3. Copy to Clipboard
Using the Copy to Clipboard option, you can copy the data from your Lumel EPM visual, including calculated rows, columns, edits, and notes (if there are any). The copied data can be easily pasted into an Excel sheet. For large datasets, the content is automatically downloaded as a CSV file and viewed in Excel.
The keyboard shortcut for the copy to clipboard option is 'Ctrl+C+L'.

The data has been copied and pasted into an Excel sheet, and it gets displayed as shown below.
