Compare scenarios

Create various scenarios that you would like to compare. Click here to know more about creating scenarios. You can click on Scenario > Compare Scenarios.

In the scenario comparison model, under the Compare dropdown, select the scenario to be compared. Under the With dropdown, select the scenarios to be compared. You can compare multiple scenarios simultaneously for deeper and more comprehensive analysis.

Non-numeric measures and columns cannot be compared.

You can compare either all measures or select specific ones from the Measures dropdown. Additionally, you can define the levels for comparison within the scenarios. In the example below, the levels represent time hierarchies such as Year, Quarter, and Month.

You can choose to compare all the measures or choose to compare specific measures from the Measures dropdown. You can also choose the Levels to be compared within the scenarios. In the example below, levels are time periods like Year, Quarter, and Month.

Common timelines and numeric measures can be compared.

The variance between the compared scenario measures is viewed.

View Simulations

You can run simulations directly within the Compare Scenarios feature to quickly achieve your desired outcomes, significantly reducing the time required for what-if analysis. The simulated values can be viewed under the View Simulations.

Export Report

The compared scenarios and the simulations performed can be exported as PDF or EXCEL reports by clicking the Export Report option. Click here to know more about Export.

Copy to Clipboard

The simulated native measures can be copied to the clipboard and exported as a CSV file, which can be reused later.
